David was one of the founding partners of the business 23 years ago, and has subsequently transformed Calibre into a successful family concern  over the last decade. An engineer with a Sales and Marketing background David has sat on some of the leading technical committee’s within the Food analysis sector and has been asked to contribute to many technical publications during this period. His relationships with the research community has led to Calibre commercialising the C-Cell Image analysis system for the bakery sector. Great leadership qualities ensure he maintains a high level of morale throughout the growing Calibre team.

Christine Cliffe

Company Secretary

Christine oversees the financial side of Calibre including account payments and reports for suppliers and auditors. Christine helped process the early orders for Calibre back in 1989 and has been heavily involved in the growth of the business in recent years.

Paul Cliffe

Sales & Marketing Manager

Paul manages the whole sales and marketing department within Calibre, with a wide range of experience in multiple sales roles. Paul takes part in many worldwide exhibitions and conferences resulting in him having a wide knowledge of the food industry market, products and instruments. Paul has played a huge part in the growth of the business over the past 6 years and always has fresh ideas!

Stephen Pike

Technical & Export Sales Manager

Stephen has managed the technical applications for our sales activities over many years. He is a respected consultant to many key customers and if Stephen doesn’t know if the equipment can do the job its unlikely anyone else will! Stephen initiates new calibration development, trial co-ordination and product application activities in our demonstration lab to suit customer needs. Stephen frequently attends international conferences on Food Science topics and is actively involved with the global sales of the C-Cell Bakery analyser.

Jake Ditchfield

Marketing Administrator

Jake co-ordinates all of our company marketing activities including website, exhibitions, news mailings, he also covers for our admin team during busy periods.  A valued addition to the team Jake has trained in all departments and is our key communicator to suppliers and customers alike.

Pat Leaver

Northern Regional Sales Manager

Responsible for all sales activities in the North of the UK (according to our invisible North/South divide!). Pat has driven growth through building customers trust in senior management roles over recent years and,  in her own words is  ‘always memorable!’ A great person to have around the office unfortuanately her role is field based so her customers gain is Calibre’s loss.

Southern Regional Sales Manager

Responsible for key account management for customers in the South of the UK. Bob has considerable experience in advising new and existing customers of the most applicable technology to resolve their Food Manufacturing issues. He is a trusted member of the team and frequently recieves positive feedback from satisfied customers.

Peter Mallinson

Key Accounts Manager – Dairy

Peter has worked within the Dairy or Food Processing sectors all his life and has considerable expertise in Hygiene monitoring and Dairy production environments. Peter is responsible for the management of all our key Dairy accounts and carrying out trials of new equipment as well as identifying the appropriate technologies suitable for customer needs in Food Safety & Quality Control.

Customer Support Manager

One of Calibre’s most experienced members of staff Michael has excelled in 3 different roles in the last two decades gaining valuable insight and knowledge for his Customer Support Responsibility. Michael is responsible for all of the Technical and Service functions of the business and ensures that our products offer value for money in maintaining essential test equipment.

Clive has been an ever present at Calibre and helped customers with their instruments before the company existed. For these reasons he is the first point of reference for both customers and suppliers  with a ‘ technical problem’ so much so we are tempted to change the name of our Technical section to ‘Ask Clive’.

Martyn Fish

Product Support Engineer

Responsible for product development with our C-Cell Bakery analyser as well as the comissioning of new and existing instruments for our global customer base. Martyn has experience with our entire range of food testing technologies which has led him to travel the globe on training courses to maintain high levels of expertise and technical knowledge.

Service Administrator

Responsible for the scheduling of our Pre-Planned maintenance service for over 300 customers. Martin is also on the end of the phone ready to react to repair call outs, requests for relocation of instruments or simple technical advice for the entire Calibre range of instruments.

Gareth Roach

Customer Support Engineer (North)

Responsible for our Pre-Planned maintenance contracts throughout Northern UK & Ireland, Gareth brings experience from the electronics processing industry. Gareth also carries out on-site repairs, product installation and training for customers throughout the UK.

Customer Support Engineer (South)

Responsible for our Pre-Planned Maintenance contracts throughout the south of the UK , Steve has many years experience from specialist quality control instrument manufacturers in addition to an excellent reputation for ‘taking our customers problems away!’  Steve also carries out on-site repairs, product installation and training for customers throughout the UK.

Responsible for the efficient processing of all Calibre day to day activities. Laura is known for her knowledge of systems and meeting management skills, keeping us all organised and aware of our reponsibilities. Responsible for processing orders and enquiries from new and existing customers. Jo has worked in Customer service roles all her career and it shows as she is known for ‘making things happen’ even when it seems impossible!
